Pangea Aerospace and Orbital Paradigm have signed a key agreement to integrate Pangea’s “U-Nyx” propulsion system in the OP’s space capsules. This breakthrough reinforces the competitiveness of the Spanish space industry, standing out for its commitment to innovative and sustainable technologies.
The U-Nyx system, developed by Pangea Aerospace, will be a centerpiece in Orbital Paradigm’s space transportation vehicles, which are designed to transport and return payloads from low Earth orbit safely and efficiently. Key advantages of these vehicles include advanced autopilot and the ability to conduct biotechnology experiments in microgravity at low acceleration.
The first phase of this collaboration will focus on the integration of U-Nyx into the re-entry capsule for the “Learn to Fly” mission, which will test a controlled hypersonic entry flight. In the future, the system is planned to be adopted on other Orbital Paradigm operational missions, consolidating this alliance as a milestone for both companies.
