PES3D II: a Spanish project to develop green space propulsion for reentry vehicles

The PES 3D II project is an initiative focused on green space propulsion systems developed through additive manufacturing. This advancement not only reduces the environmental impact of the aerospace industry but also enables new opportunities for biotechnology in microgravity conditions.

The project, supported by the Support Program for Innovative Business Clusters (AEI) of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, is led by a consortium of five key entities: the Advanced Materials Cluster of Catalonia (Associació Clúster de Materials Avançats de Catalunya), Pangea Aerospace, Aenium, Orbital Paradigm, and AseBio. Together, these organizations are developing technology that will allow for the production of more sustainable, precise, and adaptable space propulsion systems for a variety of missions, focusing in particular on the application to the Orbital Paradigm second mission, Learn To Fly.
